ACARAJÉ

Acarajé made with black eye peas, seasoned with fresh onions and garlic, shaped into fritters deep-fried in palm oil (dendê)  Filled with vetapa (made from bread, shrimp, coconut milk, finely grounded peanuts cashew nuts and palm oil mashed into a  creamy paste) tomatoes and smoked prawns.
